Are you a local non-profit organization in need of assistance? You’re in luck! Any local Stillwater County group is invited to submit a funding request to the Absarokee Community Foundation for a community project or program. The ACF’s Board of Directors then reviews the requests and makes grants in May of each year. Grant applications can be found at http://absarokeecommunityfoundation.org; emailing email@example.com or by contacting ACF Board Chair, Diana Scollard at 328-4131. April 30th marks the deadline for the annual grant so get those applications in the mail to PO Box 72, Absarokee, MT 59001.
ACF’s PURPOSE: The Absarokee Community Foundation realizes that small organizations have a large impact, performing critical services which add life to the fabric of a community. Because local service and professional organizations build a stronger community, the ACF supports their projects through monetary grants. The Foundation also has a permanent endowment fund established in order to plan for and ensure a thriving community into the future.
ACF’s HISTORY: Absarokee and Fishtail area residents founded the Absarokee Community Foundation in 2000 to add funding for local projects and respond to unanticipated needs in the community. These hard-working groups plan carefully, manage tight budgets, and often rely on volunteers to staff and support their programs. The ACF board believes that by responding to these grant requests, they can help meet such program goals and keep important projects on track.
Since inception, local ACF volunteer board members dedicated to improving the Absarokee community have committed countless hours to this non-profit organization, helping to distribute over $365,000 to dozens of groups throughout the county. Because many local residents consistently contribute generously to the fund, more than 95% of all money raised is distributed in grants or to the permanent endowment. If you’d like to make a difference in the Absarokee community and donate to the Foundation, please visit ACF’s website or contact Diana at 328-4131to find out more information.
